Tibial plateau fracture

Was racing in the NASTAR National Championship, Platinum Division at Steamboat. I dislocated my shoulder pushing out of the start gate but decided to keep racing. Couldn't keep my balance, and wiped out on the course. Ended up with a tibial plateau fracture (bad) and tibial spine fracture. Occurred on 3/14/08. Had surgery on 3/27/08 with repair of the fractures with screws and sutures. Am told I will need to be non-weight bearing for 6 weeks, bummer. Am getting by with about 1-2 Percocet a day at this point (POD #4).

Timing chip fell off during the bike leg. Initially labelled as "DNF" but probably through checking my finish time on video, official time was released and was 1:35:53. Improvement over last year.
